This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Monitor state and federal legislation that affects K–12 education choice programs.

• Oversee state-specific SGO eligibility criteria, encompassing initial qualifications, annual renewals, and ongoing adherence to relevant state and federal regulations.

• Analyze statutory and regulatory modifications and summarize their impact on ACE.

• Maintain internal resources related to program eligibility and compliance requirements.

• Identify policy trends and relay updates to leadership.

• Facilitate organizational preparedness for new or revised programs.

• Convert legislative requirements into operational considerations.

• Assist internal teams in grasping program rules and compliance expectations.

• Stay informed about broader developments in education policy.

• Draft policy summaries, memos, and briefing documents.

• Organize research in user-friendly formats for internal teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in policy analysis, research, governmental, legal, or regulatory settings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Experience in engaging with state-level government officials or agencies (e.g., Governor’s offices, Departments of Revenue, or Departments of Education).

• Experience in reviewing or interpreting legislation, regulations, or policy guidance.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent written communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively across teams while managing independent research projects.
