This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Oversee a small, committed team of price reporters, ensuring the quality and dependability of our benchmark evaluations, while collaborating closely with the Regional Managing Editor to guide future coverage directions.
• Guarantee that all evaluations are conducted in accordance with IOSCO-compliant standards and adhere to Fastmarkets’ established methodologies and price specifications.
• Serve as a senior pricing authority for the team — directing pricing choices, assessing evaluations, and establishing benchmarks for rigorous, market-based methodology.
• Propel the generation of original, forward-looking market content that delivers authentic analytical value to participants in the commodity markets.
• Manage the daily operations of the price reporting team, setting objectives and performing appraisals in conjunction with the Regional Managing Editor.
• Guide and mentor team members to aid in their professional growth, enhance market knowledge, and elevate the quality and depth of their reporting.
• Foster and sustain a positive, high-performance team culture that embodies Fastmarkets’ values.
• Engage regularly with the market through calls, meetings, conferences, and trade events to promote price adoption, nurture relationships, and broaden our network.
• Represent Fastmarkets’ agriculture editorial team by presenting at industry events, conferences, and webinars.
• Extensive, practical knowledge of the Black Sea and European grains and oilseeds markets — including fundamentals, trade flows, key pricing dynamics, and their significance in global supply chains.
• Background in price reporting or commodity market journalism, with a demonstrated ability to deliver rigorous, market-based assessments under tight deadlines.
• Strong writing capabilities — articulate, concise, and analytically sharp, applicable to both price assessments and market commentary.
• Understanding of IOSCO principles and the expectations of a credible price reporting agency.
• Effective organizational skills with the confidence to coordinate and support a small team, even without formal prior management experience.
• Ability to engage confidently with traders, exporters, merchandisers, and other market participants at a senior level.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a dedication to editorial integrity and accuracy.
• Previous team leadership or line management experience in a PRA, media, or commodity trading context.
• Language abilities relevant to the Black Sea region — such as Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian, or Bulgarian — are a significant advantage.
• Experience delivering presentations at conferences, webinars, or industry events.
• Familiarity with financial and physical derivatives pertaining to grains and oilseeds.
