This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
β’ Utilize your global networks and expertise in educational research, paired with desk research abilities, to generate high-quality submissions in essential subject areas for the Education portfolio.
β’ Strategically advance one or more journals, considering both scientific and publishing aspects within the wider context of the Education portfolio.
β’ Build and sustain a robust international network of researchers and practitioners who serve as authors, peer reviewers, and board members for the journals.
β’ Represent Wiley and the Education portfolio at conferences, as well as through both in-person and virtual outreach initiatives at universities and research institutions.
β’ Supervise the editorial assessment, peer review process, and decision-making for submitted manuscripts.
β’ Collaborate closely with both external and internal editorial teams.
β’ Partner with your manager and colleagues to cultivate a team environment characterized by trust, respect, and high performance.
β’ A PhD in educational research.
β’ Experience in manuscript management, including pre-screening, peer review, final decisions, appeals, and integrity matters.
β’ Proven experience in commissioning, which includes identifying key topics, engaging potential authors, establishing outlines and timelines, and guiding authors through the submission process.
β’ Strong international networks within research communities.
β’ Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with both internal and external stakeholders.
β’ Capability to work collaboratively and achieve results through personal influence and engagement.
β’ A flexible and innovative problem-solving approach with a focus on defining and achieving outcomes.
β’ Exceptional organizational and time management skills, along with an excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal).
β’ A solid understanding of scientific publishing and a commitment to advocating for innovations in publishing and open research.
β’ Confidence to present and represent the Education portfolio at international conferences and institutional visits.
