This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate closely with patients to address billing and payment concerns.
• Investigate and resolve inconsistencies in patient accounts.
• Manage the processing of payments and refunds.
• Review and update patient insurance details.
• Liaise with insurance companies to secure prior authorizations and confirm coverage.
• Follow up on outstanding claims and denials.
• Ensure accurate and current maintenance of patient account records.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Work together with other departments to enhance processes and facilitate prompt reimbursement.
• Stay informed on current insurance regulations and coding standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent is a must; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and collections is required.
• Familiarity with medical billing and coding, insurance regulations, and healthcare reimbursement practices.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Waystar, Japari, and other relevant software programs.
