EDI Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engage with new and existing clients as well as trading partners to gather and analyze requirements, mapping specifications, project objectives, and onboarding activities until go-live;

• Collect data from assigned clients, implement guidelines, and meet requirements within the designated timeframe while providing regular status updates to the client(s);

• Create and establish project plans while maintaining project documentation and offering time/effort estimates throughout the implementation phase;

• Configure communications for EDI transmissions, including but not limited to AS2, FTP, and VAN setups;

• Map documents to and from various formats, including but not limited to ANSI X12, XML, and flat file layouts using ODBC connectivity;

• Deliver ongoing training and technical support to clients, while assessing impact and potential improvements for future initiatives;

• Diagnose and coordinate effective resolutions to errors and issues identified internally or by the client;

• Proactively enhance current support and services to improve the performance of the client services organization;

• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned or when existing responsibilities change with or without prior notice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Programming preferred, or equivalent years of experience

• At least 2 years of professional experience in project management or an implementation role

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with external clients in a customer support team environment

• Experience with EDI, ERP implementation, or integration is a plus

• Preferred knowledge and understanding of the EDI industry

• Familiarity with various file transfer protocols: AS2, FTP, and VAN

• Understanding of various EDI standards, particularly ANSI X12 EDI, is advantageous
