This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the implementation and management of the EDI platform for the company's EDI operations.
• Develop and manage EDI workflows for connections with trading partners.
• Design and oversee business processes, update existing ones, and create necessary documentation.
• Address technical challenges on the EDI platform.
• Monitor and assess the EDI system to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards.
• Assist in defining the overall B2B technical integration strategy and roadmap.
• Configure and maintain EDI connections with trading partners.
• Lead the development of intricate maps and business processes to automate data transformation.
• Establish business processes that ensure effective and efficient archiving.
• Offer technical support to internal users regarding EDI-related concerns.
• Keep documentation updated for EDI processes, procedures, and troubleshooting methods.
• Remain informed about EDI standards, best practices, and industry trends.
• Engage in EDI projects and initiatives, including system upgrades and process enhancements.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as IT, Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in B2B integration and EDI, including a minimum of 5 years in an Architect, Technical Lead, or similar senior design position.
• In-depth expertise in IBM Sterling B2BI.
• Ability to design and implement complex, optimized BPML (Business Process Modeling Language) for enterprise-level workflows.
• Proficient in creating, maintaining, and performance-tuning all versions of EDI maps using the Sterling Map Editor.
• Skilled in managing and optimizing multi-node B2BI instances across various operating systems (Unix/Linux and Windows).
• Strong understanding of compatibility matrices between different database versions, operating systems, and B2BI releases.
• Expert-level knowledge of the underlying B2BI database structure and data models.
• Comprehensive understanding of EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT).
• Familiarity with VANs (Value Added Networks) and EDI communication protocols.
• Proven experience in providing Level 3 technical leadership for critical production issues and mentoring junior EDI developers and analysts.
• Experience with modern DevOps practices, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
