This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate several online Supplemental Instruction sessions weekly to foster engaging discussions among students about challenging course material (40%).
• Design interactive activities suitable for online sessions to actively involve students in the learning experience instead of merely lecturing them (40%).
• Implement effective study and learning strategies that are specific to the course, aimed at enhancing students’ potential for academic success (10%).
• Attend mandatory SI Leader Orientation, training sessions, and scheduled meetings as directed by the Director of Tutoring Services (5%).
• Fulfill SI-related administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Online Tutoring Services (5%).
• Must be an active undergraduate or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 at Liberty University.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with individuals from diverse educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.
• A genuine enthusiasm for assisting students in enhancing their understanding of course content and improving their study techniques.
• Must have completed the ECON 213 course at Liberty University and earned an "A" or "B."
• A letter of recommendation from the instructor of the relevant course(s) is preferred.
• Prior tutoring experience is also preferred.
• It is advisable to attach a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcript.
