Econometrician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist testifying experts in intricate antitrust and related litigation cases.

• Create and execute econometric models and statistical analyses using advanced empirical and estimation methods on real-world datasets.

• Oversee and evaluate workstreams, ensuring the precision and quality of deliverables.

• Mentor and provide direction to junior staff regarding analytical strategies and execution.

• Perform independent research and analysis with minimal oversight.

• Cleanse and analyze data utilizing SAS and/or Stata.

• Generate clear and well-structured written materials, including memoranda, reports, and exhibits that summarize analyses and findings.

• Articulate complex economic and econometric concepts effectively to attorneys, clients, and testifying experts.

• Collaborate with case teams to oversee project timelines and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. in Economics (or an advanced degree with significant relevant experience), specializing in microeconomics, applied microeconomics, industrial organization, or econometrics.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience assisting testifying experts in complex antitrust and related litigation cases.

• Proven expertise in econometric modeling and statistical analysis, including the application of advanced empirical and estimation methods to real-world datasets.

• Extensive hands-on experience with SAS and/or Stata.

• Strong analytical, research, and writing capabilities, with the ability to convey complex economic concepts clearly and effectively.

• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, including experience mentoring junior staff and managing workstreams in a collaborative environment.

• Capability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong dedication to precision and quality of output.
