E-Discovery Project Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Acts as the main contact throughout the discovery lifecycle, leveraging extensive knowledge and experience to offer expert guidance and consultation on technology and best practices.

• Collaborates with case teams to effectively formulate and implement technical strategies, requirements, and objectives to establish and execute project plans, encompassing data collection, processing, document review, document production, and trial.

• Serves as the primary liaison for electronic discovery matters between the legal team and contractors, ensuring effective communication between all parties involved.

• Provides advice to the legal team on technological solutions to meet specific discovery requirements, including recommendations for products that facilitate early case assessment, document searches, and document reviews in the most efficient, timely, and cost-effective way.

• Engages in legal proceedings, such as 26(f) conferences, prepares affidavits, and testifies regarding the defensibility of the government's eDiscovery process.

• Ensures that standard procedures for electronic discovery and litigation support projects are consistently applied throughout the case lifecycle.

• Develops cost estimates and offers guidance on maximizing efficiency and reducing costs.

• Manages the creation of statistical reports that provide insights into collection, filtering, processing, review, and production activities.

• Assigns appropriate workflow tasks, including data management, search query construction, processing, production, and quality control.

• Coordinates the efforts of others in responding to discovery requests and provides regular reports and metrics regarding the status of each project phase.

• Keeps up-to-date with emerging technologies and processes in electronic discovery litigation support.

• Maintains current knowledge of available software applications and areas of expertise.

• Conducts regular updates on new technologies and process enhancements related to electronic discovery.


⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to obtain and sustain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance before starting.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Capacity to work efficiently in a fully remote setting.

• At least 5 years of experience delivering eDiscovery services and litigation support for complex and large cases involving intricate eDiscovery challenges.

• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills is required.

• Must have strong planning and organizational abilities, along with a comprehensive understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), particularly in data collection, review, analytics, and production.

• Candidate must have a solid, broad knowledge of Information Technology infrastructures, including networks and other data sources.

• Prior experience in managing eDiscovery projects and associated technologies is essential.

• Advanced experience in planning eDiscovery initiatives, managing client expectations, and collaborating with clients to minimize their risk exposure.

• Proficiency in a wide variety of technologies and familiarity with eDiscovery industry “best practices,” including knowledge of multiple tools and processes linked to large-scale complex eDiscovery responses.

• Must ensure compliance with all directives for the secure handling of documents.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment while prioritizing tasks and scheduling under tight deadlines is required.

• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively manage complex relationships with all stakeholders.

• Must be well-organized, a strong communicator, detail-oriented, demonstrate sound judgment, and be confident working independently.
