E-commerce Technical Assistant – AI, Shopify

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Oversee applications from start to finish: installation, configuration, testing, documentation, and quarterly audits

• Create and organize recurring reports for marketing, finance, customer service, and operations

• Manage staff permissions, resolve application conflicts, and communicate with vendors

• Develop and sustain Flow automations: order tagging, customer segmentation, inventory notifications, and fraud detection

• Implement clean conditional logic across Shopify data objects such as orders, customers, products, and metafields

• Document all workflows, conduct tests prior to going live, and deactivate any outdated processes

• Maintain and expand scripts connecting Shopify, Google Sheets, Gmail, and various other tools

• Work with REST APIs, handling requests, headers, authentication, and JSON parsing

• Utilize AI to generate and refine code, then review, verify, and take ownership of the final product

• Keep a well-organized script inventory, documenting owners, triggers, and dependencies

• Manage access provisioning and revocation across all platforms, ensuring cleanliness, logging, and timeliness

• Maintain a central access matrix and conduct quarterly reviews

• Enforce least-privilege access, two-factor authentication, and secure credential sharing via NordPass

• Configure subscription products, billing schedules, and customer-facing processes

• Develop retention strategies including cancellation surveys, winback offers, and save-the-sale sequences

• Test every customer journey thoroughly from start to finish before launch

• Set up new hires on all platforms and promptly revoke access when employees leave

• Maintain role-based access templates to ensure consistent onboarding

• Manage the subscription register, keeping all tools, costs, renewal dates, and owners in one accessible location

• Identify unused seats, price hikes, and overlapping tools before Finance raises concerns

• Negotiate with vendors, cancel trials, and eliminate expenses that do not justify their costs

⛳️ Requirements

• Possesses hands-on experience with Shopify admin and Flow

• Capable of reading, debugging, and maintaining Google Apps Scripts

• Understands REST APIs including requests, JSON, and authentication

• Experienced with Recharge or a similar subscription management platform

• Familiar with access management, role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), and two-factor authentication (2FA) in practical settings

• Utilizes NordPass or a comparable tool and prioritizes security

• Is proficient in AI: able to prompt effectively, iterate swiftly, and discern when to trust generated outputs versus when to verify them

• Capable of utilizing AI efficiently—prompting, iterating, and critically assessing generated code

• Documents all processes thoroughly

• Communicates effectively in English with vendors, HR, and internal teams

• Capable of managing various tasks simultaneously
