• You are responsible for the technical development, stability, and performance of our Shopify stores.
• Collaborating closely with the performance marketing and brand teams, you translate growth hypotheses into technical solutions—ranging from A/B tests and landing pages to conversion-optimized funnels.
• You think in metrics, understanding how pagespeed, UX, and funnel logic impact conversion rates, AOV (average order value), and customer lifetime value, allowing you to prioritize your work effectively.
• You proactively introduce new features and maintain themes and apps at a cutting-edge level.
• You develop Shopify apps, including integrations with third-party systems, ensuring their seamless incorporation into existing Shopify stores.
• You assist our team with technical SEO, establishing a performant and search-engine-friendly foundation.
• Staying current with the latest industry trends and technologies, you continuously learn and apply new tools and practices to enhance our web presence.
• You possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a developer in a DTC or eCommerce company—preferably within an owner-managed multi-brand environment on Shopify Plus.
• You have experience collaborating with in-house eCommerce teams on growth initiatives, rather than solely through agency or freelance projects.
• You have a solid understanding of HTML, JavaScript, React, and CSS/PostCSS, along with Shopify Plus & app development (both front-end and back-end).
• You are adept at working with Shopify CLI, Liquid, the Theme Editor (schema/settings), and Shopify Theme Sync.
• You have experience in developing backend functionality using Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or similar technologies.
• You are skilled in using GitHub.
• You demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• You are fluent in German at a native level and possess very good English skills.
• You are located in the DACH region.
• You are self-motivated, disciplined, and work in a goal-oriented fashion.
• You are reliable and exhibit a high degree of loyalty and responsibility, particularly when it comes to handling code.
• You recognize that quality code in eCommerce is not an end in itself; it drives revenue, UX, and brand perception.
• You enjoy challenging the status quo, are open to change, and contribute new ideas to continually enhance our processes and products.
• Flexible scheduling and location-independent work (remote within the DACH region).
• Regular team events and our legendary on-sites twice a year (minor travel availability required).
• A collegial atmosphere characterized by flat hierarchies and quick decision-making processes.
• A learning budget that you can utilize at your discretion.
• A comprehensive benefits program that includes employee discounts, a company pension plan, bike leasing, and childcare subsidies.
• Engaging projects offering significant entrepreneurial freedom that you will pursue independently and passionately.
• No micromanagement—ample freedom to shape your role.
