This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the client's Shopify storefront, focusing on enhancing online revenue, conversion rates, and customer experience.
• Conduct a thorough audit of the current site and create a well-defined, prioritized roadmap for essential fixes and impactful quick wins.
• Implement and consistently refine Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) across product detail pages (PDPs), collection pages, navigation, cart, and checkout through testing, analysis, and iteration.
• Establish a dependable analytics and reporting framework, enabling the team to make informed decisions based on accurate, consistent data.
• Enhance site merchandising through improved collections, product discovery, on-site storytelling, and the overall online brand presence.
• Manage promotional activities on the site, including launches, offers, and merchandising moments, ensuring a smooth experience for customers.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, photographers/content creators, and copywriters to boost performance and presentation across the website.
• Optimize the catalog and inventory display on Shopify, including product setup, variants, collections, searchability, and integrations.
• Work alongside (and assist in evaluating/selecting) external partners such as media buyers and CRM/email support as the channel evolves, guided by return on investment (ROI).
• **Must-Have:**
• Over 5 years of experience managing e-commerce performance with clear accountability for outcomes such as revenue, conversion rates, and customer journeys.
• Hands-on expertise with Shopify, including administration, catalog management, merchandising, app/integration management, promotions, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated success in enhancing conversion rates through CRO and funnel optimization, with real execution rather than just following “best practices.”
• Strong proficiency in e-commerce analytics and KPI reporting, including the ability to validate tracking and measurement quality.
• Capability to assess an under-optimized store, identify issues, and implement a practical plan independently, without requiring a large team.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including creative and technical partners (design, development, content, copywriting, media/CRM).
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, able to educate, influence, and guide a non-digital founder through priorities and trade-offs.
• **Nice to Have:**
• Experience in fashion/apparel, direct-to-consumer (DTC), or consumer retail e-commerce.
• Background in lean entrepreneurial businesses, typically in the $5M–$50M revenue range or similar environments.
• Familiarity with AI tools that enhance creative workflows, image enhancement, or digital merchandising.
