This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Offer troubleshooting support to Direct Sales and Independent Distribution customers, as well as Carrier Commercial Service offices through phone, electronic communication, and on-site visits in the designated region.
• Assist the problem resolution team and other internal stakeholders in collecting and supplying data pertinent to resolving technical challenges.
• Conduct multi-day, hands-on technical installation and service training for contractors and technical service managers, emphasizing system overview, installation, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and controls.
• Create training materials for presentation at technical meetings and events for distributors and dealers.
• Provide on-site assistance during installation, troubleshooting, and start-up phases.
• Collaborate closely with factories and product managers to refine and improve the product lineup to better meet contractors’ requirements and streamline technical service operations.
• Utilize system software to initiate and troubleshoot projects.
• Regularly negotiate and process all outstanding disputed warranty claims for distributors, Direct Sales, and Carrier Commercial Service office and Independent Distribution.
• Support and implement corporate policies and objectives, including ethics, The Carrier Way, and other quality initiatives.
• Monitor and report monthly expenses.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in VRF or Ductless field work, OR 7+ years of experience in VRF or Ductless field work.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the year.
• Readiness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice, to meet customer requirements.
• Must have a quiet remote workspace with high-speed internet for when not traveling.
• Experience in VRF Controls integration is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving in high-pressure and challenging situations is preferred.
• Service experience with VRF and Ductless equipment is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting all facets of commercial applied HVAC systems is preferred.
• Background in quality improvement roles involving warranty data and systems is preferred.
• Experience in a role requiring technical presentations is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is preferred.
