This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide coaching to drivers of various ages and experience levels in racing and driving schools.
• Support event operations, including setup, vehicle cleaning, and teardown activities.
• Represent and uphold the Skip Barber brand and its legacy.
• Deliver exceptional coaching, modules, and educational curriculum.
• Teach with enthusiasm and empathy, focusing on risk reduction.
• Conduct classroom instruction using whiteboards and PowerPoint presentations.
• Identify risky driving behaviors promptly and handle them appropriately.
• Adapt quickly to the diverse learning and listening styles of clients.
• Simplify complex driving techniques into clear, concise explanations.
• Organize and prepare the classroom, driving modules, cones, and service vehicles.
• Assist in Pit Lane activities, including flagging, stop box duties, cone management, helping students in and out of racecars, and keeping the racecars clean.
• Help load and unload trailers containing racecars, racecar parts, tires, or other supplies.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by company management.
• Capable of explaining intricate driving techniques and theories in a straightforward, concise manner to a diverse range of client personalities.
• Proficient in evaluating driver behavior from a corner observation.
• Experienced in conducting data/video analysis while catering to the cognitive abilities and experience levels of various drivers.
• Skilled in de-escalating challenging situations involving upset clients, parents, coaches, or managers.
• Team-oriented with a strong desire to collaborate effectively.
• Willingness to travel interstate or nationally as required.
• Ability to work outdoors as well as indoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekends for national programs and events, including occasional late nights.
• Must currently possess and be able to maintain a clean driving record to operate Company vehicles and racecars as needed.
• Aspiration for a career path as a professional driver coach within a leading racing school and race team.
• Capable of working independently, maintaining focus, and completing tasks accurately within assigned time frames.
• Open and eager to learn SBRS operating, coaching, and event procedures.
• Commit to a reliable attendance record.
• Maintain a positive demeanor and professionalism in interactions with team members and clients, adhering to Company appearance and apparel policies.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety.
• Experience with AiM RaceStudio Analysis, MoTec i2Pro, vBox Circuit Tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is required.
