Dredge Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Engineers will collaborate closely with the Port Engineer and Vessel Captain.

• Upholding Curtin's fundamental values of Innovation, Integrity, and Efficiency.

• Ensuring adherence to the Curtin Standard while onboard.

• Schedule: Full-time, necessitating considerable travel away from home.

• Extended hours, weekend work, and offshore travel may occur frequently.

• Oversee Deckhands (when applicable) on projects and during downtime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Dredge experience is mandatory.

• Clamshell dredge experience is preferred.

• Mental Aptitudes: High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

• Ability to manage stressful situations with focus, including making safe and effective decisions in potentially hazardous conditions.

• Recognizing the importance of mentorship, with a commitment to fostering the development and success of others.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of addressing various audiences.

• Strong logistical and mechanical reasoning abilities.

• Physical Aptitudes: Agility to navigate uneven terrain.

• Capability to safely lift 40 pounds; handling heavy, large, or awkward equipment.

• Must possess swimming skills.

• LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS: TWIC Card, MMC – OS/Wiper, CG Medical Certificate, Passport.

• PREFERRED LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS: MMC QMED/Oiler, Able Seaman Endorsement, STCW Basic Training.
