Environmental Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Prepare and assess environmental investigations and technical documentation.

• Design and manage environmental initiatives, including remediation systems and pollution control strategies.

• Develop scopes of work, prepare cost estimates, and assess contractor bids.

• Oversee environmental projects with budgets ranging from $1M to $3M, including managing schedules, budgets, and contractor performance.

• Evaluate contractor deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Conduct studies on hazardous waste management and perform facility inspections.

• Assist in environmental liability documentation and reporting processes.

• Analyze data and conduct quality assurance/quality control evaluations.

• Provide guidance on remediation tactics and cleanup of contaminated sites.

• Utilize environmental systems, including database management and GIS tools.

• Ensure adherence to regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, SPCC, and NPDES.

• Support sustainability efforts aimed at minimizing environmental impact and enhancing resource efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related engineering field.

• Senior-level engineering experience in managing environmental compliance and remediation projects.

• Proven understanding of federal environmental regulations and compliance frameworks.
