Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) are responsible for leading intricate end-to-end deployments of Jean-Paul in production, working closely with our most strategic customers from the outset.

• Take charge of discovery, technical scoping, connectivity, and rollout, collaborating directly with the engineering and business teams of the customer.

• Evaluate success based on production adoption, measurable workflow impact, and field feedback that informs future developments.

• Collaborate extensively with our Product, Engineering, Security, and GTM teams.

• Travel to customer locations may be required up to 50% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 5+ years of practical engineering or technical deployment experience, which includes real infrastructure work (Linux, Docker, networking, at least one major cloud, enterprise SSO/OAuth experience).

• Have experience building or deploying systems powered by LLMs or agents, with an understanding of how model behavior influences user experience.

• Recognize the distinction between a connected system and a user-friendly one, possessing the insight to create the context layer that establishes agent reliability.

• Be adept at engaging with a perplexed stakeholder without a formal specification, enabling them to articulate a future state they may not have been able to express.

• Have a track record of enhancing the technical skills of others.

• Be comfortable taking the lead: there is no established guide here; you will be the one to create it.
