This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Oversees and manages incoming communications related to patients and prescriptions, including the primary fax server and electronic prescription queue.
• Assesses and triages incoming communications based on their urgency and relevance to ensure prompt processing and response.
• Establishes and maintains precise patient profiles in CPR+, incorporating demographic details, medication history, and lab results.
• Confirms patient information and ensures compliance with privacy regulations during the creation of new profiles.
• Receives and processes new medication orders from referral sources, guaranteeing the accuracy and completeness of prescription details.
• Validates prescription information, such as medication name, dosage, and instructions, and enters orders into CPR+.
• Engages effectively with pharmacy personnel, healthcare providers, and patients to resolve any inquiries or issues regarding incoming prescriptions or patient profiles.
• Works in collaboration with the Document Management Supervisor to ensure the smooth coordination of prescription processing and patient care.
• High School Diploma or GED, or a licensed/registered pharmacy technician, or prior experience in a pharmacy setting.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy.
• Knowledge of pharmacy or healthcare-related topics.
• Familiarity with pharmacy terminology, including sig codes, Roman numerals, and brand/generic names of medications.
• Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
• Intermediate typing and keyboarding proficiency.
