This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Facilitate commercial initiatives among in-field teams to ensure that sales targets are met within a designated region.

• Develop, execute, and communicate the District Sales Plan while tracking its progress.

• Optimize market, segment, and team dynamics to enhance both revenue and profit margins.

• Promote seamless and collaborative efforts in daily operations as well as long-term business execution.

• Establish the tone and rhythm for business processes and organizational structure.

• Grasp and convey a market and franchise/business perspective when guiding teams and leading in-field meetings by mastering product and disease state knowledge, along with relevant market dynamics, including the Managed Care landscape.

• Mentor, coach, educate, and develop both direct and indirect team members to improve individual competencies and elevate overall team performance.

• Hold direct reports accountable for their behaviors and performance expectations.

• Provide guidance and insights to key internal stakeholders during the business planning process.

• Consistently embody the AbbVie Ways of Working.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.

• A minimum of four years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management (external management experience may be considered).

• Demonstrated leadership as a District Manager, including compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

• Exceptional judgment and decision-making capabilities.

• Ability to clearly articulate the scientific components of treatments and therapeutic areas.

• Proven track record of providing honest, constructive feedback and effectively managing performance.

• Capacity to develop talent for promotional opportunities.

• Ability to foster a culture of success and full team engagement.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing standards.
