This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Responsible for activating sales at the market level and driving essential brand initiatives.
• Establish robust connections with leading retail accounts and local chains to pinpoint significant selling opportunities.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with distributor teams to enhance efforts and increase brand awareness.
• Organize market work-withs, surveys, and sales blitzes in collaboration with distributor teams.
• Deliver weekly market performance summaries and highlight execution gaps to the Regional Manager.
• Monitor program adherence, competitive pricing, and feature execution.
• Implement all confirmed chain and brand programs relevant to the assigned territory.
• Oversee the execution of the Luxury Brand Collection, where applicable.
• Expand distribution on brand-focused programs.
• Update the Region Manager and distributor teams on the progress of execution priorities.
• Comply with assigned budget limits within the designated territory.
• Submit all requests for additional expenditures to the Regional Manager for further processing.
• Prioritize distributor relationships with key District Managers, Sales Representatives, Chain Account Managers, and Division Managers.
• Participate in General Sales Meetings (GSM) and training sessions monthly, as needed.
• Maintain a market presence 85%-90% of the time, conducting distributor work withs and engaging in key account development.
• Provide market health audits to the Regional Manager and ensure pricing adheres to VCT-USA standards.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field along with a minimum of two to five years of progressive sales experience in the wine and spirits or beverage industry, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success in alcohol beverage industry sales and account management, including in-depth knowledge of on- and off-premise wine channels and trade.
• A strong knowledge and enthusiasm for both luxury/premium and commercial wines, along with a passion for selling a diverse range of price points and formats.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the utmost integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• A valid Driver’s License and the capability to be insured.
• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 10% - 15% of the time; availability for weekend and evening work as needed.
• Travel throughout the region is required.
• Experience in selling imports and/or organic categories is a plus.
• Familiarity with Circana/Nielsen data is advantageous.
• Wine education or certification is preferred (WSET or CSW).
