This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist the Executive Director in managing the operations and functions of the State office.
• Collaborate with the Department of Education and local school administrators to enhance SkillsUSA Texas membership.
• Organize and implement the Fall Leadership and District Contests.
• Provide guidance and support to new chapter advisors.
• Establish and maintain a communication system with key stakeholders.
• Execute strategies aimed at growth within the designated region.
• Work in conjunction with the Director of Championships for conferences and competitions.
• Keep track of the inventory for district supplies.
• Participate in State Leadership and Skills Conferences as well as annual coordinators' meetings.
• At least five years of experience in the education sector.
• Previous experience with SkillsUSA.
• Background in career and technical education (CTE).
• Familiarity with career and technical student organizations (CTSOs).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, alumni, key stakeholders, and the public.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
• Capacity to excel in a team-oriented environment.
• High professional and ethical standards for managing confidential information.
• Proficiency in organizing and completing multiple tasks with attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines.
• This position requires extensive travel, as well as evening and weekend work as necessary.
• Strong computer skills and a solid understanding of fiscal responsibility are essential.
