This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist the Executive Director in managing the State office and its various functions
• Collaborate with the Department of Education and local school officials to enhance SkillsUSA Texas membership and engagement
• Organize and implement the Fall Leadership and District Contests
• Provide guidance and support to new chapter advisors
• Establish and maintain a communication network with key stakeholders
• Execute local, district, and regional strategies to promote the growth of SkillsUSA Texas
• Partner with the Director of Championships for organizing contests and events
• Keep an inventory of district supplies
• Participate in various SkillsUSA Texas Leadership and Skills Conferences
• At least five years of experience in the educational sector
• Previous experience with SkillsUSA is advantageous
• Background in career and technical education (CTE) and Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) is beneficial
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues, alumni, stakeholders, and the public
• Strong skills in written and verbal communication, planning, and organization
• Must demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently
• Proven adherence to high professional and ethical standards when managing confidential information
• Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks simultaneously with a keen focus on detail and prioritization
• Extensive travel is necessary
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
