Distinguished Engineer – AI & Engineering Transformation

📋 Description

• Spearhead organization-wide transformation projects focused on AI-driven product innovation and engineering efficiency.

• Promote the integration of AI within Acumatica's product offerings and operational workflows.

• Collaborate with AI/ML, platform, product, and application engineering teams to define and expand AI-enhanced product features.

• Advise application teams on utilizing AI foundational elements, orchestration infrastructure, and platform services.

• Shape application architecture, design methodologies, and engineering practices to facilitate scalable AI integration.

• Recognize and implement impactful customer AI use cases that enhance automation, insights, and workflow acceleration.

• Revolutionize the engineering lifecycle through AI-supported development methodologies.

• Keep abreast of trends, tools, and best practices in AI-enabled software development.

• Discover opportunities to enhance productivity, engineering quality, and delivery effectiveness through AI.

• Foster the adoption of contemporary engineering practices across Business Analysis, development, and QA teams.

• Collaborate with engineering leaders to enhance software design, development, testing, and maintenance at scale.

• Define and shape the long-term strategy for AI and engineering transformation.

• Assess emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.

• Align technical strategies with customer and business objectives.

• Offer hands-on technical direction, architectural guidance, and mentorship.

• Lead through influence by uniting stakeholders, building consensus, and driving execution across organizational lines.

• Represent Acumatica externally to customers, partners, analysts, and at industry events and conferences.

• Report directly to the Chief Engineering Officer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Over 15 years of experience in software engineering.

• Extensive experience leading large-scale technical projects in SaaS or cloud-based enterprise software settings.

• Proven track record of delivering and productizing AI/ML features within enterprise applications.

• Strong background in enterprise application architecture.

• Experience in driving engineering transformation projects, including modern software development practices and AI-enhanced engineering workflows.

• Demonstrated capability to influence cross-organizationally, align senior stakeholders, and lead intricate initiatives without direct authority.

• High technical credibility with the capacity to operate strategically while being hands-on when necessary.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) is an advantage.

• Experience in fast-paced product environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with partnerships, acquisitions, or ecosystem strategies in the AI/ML domain is an advantage.
