Dispatch Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Organize and schedule outbound customer deliveries, inbound shipments, and inter-site transfers to fulfill customer needs.

• Oversee shipment activities and proactively pinpoint and address service or scheduling challenges.

• Relay delivery updates and service implications to customers, carriers, and internal teams.

• Ensure that customer delivery expectations and service agreements are consistently achieved.

• Construct and enhance shipment loads and transportation routes to optimize freight efficiency.

• Produce warehouse pick lists and dispatch documentation through JD Edwards.

• Alert leadership about transportation delays, service interruptions, and delivery risks when necessary.

• Gather and maintain logistics performance metrics and dispatch reports.

• Evaluate carrier and warehouse performance against essential service indicators.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, dispatch, or supply chain operations.

• Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally JD Edwards or Oracle.

• Experience in coordinating freight carriers, transportation schedules, and customer deliveries.

• Preferred background in customer service within a logistics or distribution setting.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Knowledge of transportation routing, load planning, and freight management processes.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to foster effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
