This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• The Director of Workplace Trainings is responsible for initiating and establishing the strategy for programs that align with the strategic objectives of the practice and the organization.
• Manages and ensures that the functions of the team are executed efficiently and effectively for one or more programs within the Practice.
• Collaborates across various functions and support services (marketing, sales, product development, operations, finance) to translate program/product requirements into actionable needs, set metrics and standards, and achieve program goals.
• Defines product strategy, including vision, customer persona, positioning, differentiation, and roadmap, while aligning it with our mission.
• Keeps abreast of market trends and gathers competitive intelligence through research.
• Works with the marketing team to devise marketing and lead generation strategies.
• Partners with sales teams across channels to enhance product sales implementation and support strategies.
• Oversees and manages the product roadmap to ensure business deliverables are met, including growth objectives like market share, revenue, profit, and return on investment across various business channels/categories and key customers.
• Ensures the development, definition, and operationalization of the product/service life-cycle.
• Provides knowledge, education, and awareness of programs/products/services to populations that may not have access to or knowledge of NSC programs.
• Writes articles, blogs, or similar outreach materials for print or online publications.
• Leads the creation of events, discussion forums, and workshops.
• Advocates and influences through effective learning avenues and activities.
• Engages extensively with consumers to gather first-hand insights and market feedback on our programs/products/services.
• Participates in trade shows and similar events.
• Engages in regular communication and builds relationships in all directions (e.g., peers, supervisors, funders, stakeholders) to advance the strategy/program.
• Promotes an environment that values the diversity of employees’ and stakeholders’ styles, opinions, and perspectives.
• Communicates information, builds consensus, fact-finds, and maintains transparency and open exchanges, while keeping partners informed of program status and impact.
• Coordinates with other NSC initiatives, campaigns, and departments to identify dissemination and cross-collaboration opportunities.
• Managers of personnel dedicate a significant portion of their time to directly overseeing the work of at least three employees for whom they make hiring, firing, and performance-related decisions.
• A bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, at least 12 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
• Proven expertise in workplace training, adult learning, and the development of learning strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale, mission-driven programs or managing product portfolios.
• Strong comprehension of product lifecycle management and roadmap development.
• Ability to convert market research and customer insights into effective training solutions.
• Experience in collaborating with marketing and sales teams to drive growth and adoption rates.
• Knowledge of instructional design best practices and contemporary learning modalities.
• Familiarity with learning technologies, platforms, and LMS environments.
• Proven track record in budget management and measuring program ROI.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and performance metrics.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
• Experience in leading cross-functional and matrixed teams.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and engage external stakeholders.
• Experience in thought leadership, public speaking, and industry engagement.
