Director, US Field Market Access

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee US Field Market Access initiatives within a designated region for LivaNova Neuromodulation businesses, concentrating on enhancing access to care.

• Collaborate with both providers and payers to improve access to care in close coordination with the commercial team.

• Create and execute educational initiatives for providers to facilitate new neuromodulation program launches, expansions, and restarts.

• Formulate strategies and spearhead advocacy efforts with commercial and governmental payers within a specified region regarding the adequacy of coverage and payment for company procedures and technologies.

• Advocate with state Medicaid agencies and legislative bodies for better payment for procedures.

• Relay evidence requirements and the reimbursement landscape to internal stakeholders.

• Deliver training and educational programs on reimbursement best practices to internal stakeholders and the sales force.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• Preferred: Advanced degree in health policy, public health, health economics, or a related field.

• Neuromodulation experience is a plus.

• Helpful: Hospital and payer experience in assessing medical technologies or formulating coverage policies.

• More than 10 years of experience advocating to commercial payers, Medicare, and state legislatures, as well as Medicaid agencies.

• Over 10 years of proven success in advocating for enhanced coverage and/or increased payment rates with US commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid.

• 10+ years of experience in educating and engaging healthcare providers on procedure and technology coding, coverage, and payment.

• Experience in developing payer engagement strategies along with supportive content and messaging.

• A comprehensive understanding of the reimbursement landscape to assist customers in navigating coverage and securing access to LivaNova technologies.

• Proven experience working closely with marketing and sales teams.

• Strong grasp of payers, policy developments, and their implications for LivaNova.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage a diverse portfolio of products and reimbursement needs.

• Experience in communicating reimbursement and economic data to external stakeholders.

• Background in building coalitions and managing projects involving external consultants.

• Ability to provide top-notch reimbursement guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Must be self-motivated, passionate, and an exceptional communicator.

• Capable of developing and overseeing multiple projects.

• Highly results-driven and action-oriented.
