This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +19 more states.
• Spearhead comprehensive negotiations with wholesalers, distributors, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing, advantageous terms, and dependable access for GPO member pharmacies.
• Oversee and sustain all wholesaler contracts to guarantee that negotiated pricing is accurately extended to eligible member pharmacies.
• Actively assess opportunities to enhance savings, refine contract structures, and increase partner value.
• Formulate and implement strategies to optimize primary and secondary wholesaler arrangements for GPO partners.
• Lead RFP processes for wholesaler and supplier negotiations, encompassing comparative financial analyses and performance evaluations.
• Propel ongoing improvement in wholesale channel performance, pricing competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
• Cultivate and maintain robust, collaborative relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and suppliers.
• Serve as the main contact for strategic alignment, escalation, performance discussions, and partnership development.
• Actively monitor supplier performance and encourage accountability to contract terms and service expectations.
• Negotiate agreements with GPO member pharmacies that encompass drug access requirements, data-sharing expectations, utilization reporting, and administrative fees.
• Ensure consistent communication with pharmacy partners regarding contract terms, pricing modifications, and compliance obligations.
• Ensure all wholesaler, supplier, and pharmacy agreements comply with legal, regulatory, and industry standards, including anti-kickback, transparency, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Legal to create, refine, and uphold contract templates, SLAs, and audit protocols.
• Work with internal analytics, finance, and operations teams to utilize data for pricing analysis, forecasting, and contract performance monitoring.
• Employ financial modeling to bolster negotiation strategies and inform organizational decisions—analyze the financial ramifications of wholesaler contracts and pricing models to maximize member savings and organizational profitability.
• Generate reports that aid GPO economic value assessments and budget planning.
• Collaborate closely with finance, legal, operations, supply chain, analytics, and member engagement teams to ensure alignment and execution of contracting strategies.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity in reporting workflows, pricing files, and GPO partner documentation.
• Lead and motivate high-performing teams by providing strategic direction, aligning talent and resources with organizational objectives to drive operational excellence, foster cross-functional collaboration, and promote a culture of continuous improvement across key business initiatives.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to meet business needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• An MBA or relevant degree is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in PBM, healthcare supply chain, pharmacy procurement, wholesaler relations, or pharmaceutical contracting is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in wholesaler/distributor contract negotiations or pricing strategy is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while managing cross-functional initiatives is required.
• Strong financial acumen, including cost modeling, forecasting, and interpretation of pricing constructs.
