This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Oversee comprehensive negotiations with wholesalers, distributors, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing, beneficial terms, and reliable access for GPO member pharmacies.
• Administer and uphold all wholesaler contracts to guarantee that negotiated pricing is accurately delivered to eligible member pharmacies.
• Actively assess opportunities to broaden savings, enhance contract frameworks, and increase partner value.
• Formulate and implement strategies to optimize primary and secondary wholesaler agreements for GPO partners.
• Direct RFP processes for wholesaler and supplier negotiations, including comparative financial analyses and performance evaluations.
• Propel ongoing enhancements in wholesale channel performance, pricing competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
• Establish and maintain robust, collaborative relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and suppliers.
• Function as the main contact for strategic alignment, escalation, performance discussions, and partnership development.
• Continuously monitor supplier performance and foster accountability to contract terms and service expectations.
• Negotiate contracts with GPO member pharmacies related to drug access requirements, data-sharing expectations, utilization reporting, and administrative fees.
• Ensure consistent communication with pharmacy partners regarding contract terms, pricing modifications, and compliance obligations.
• Confirm that all wholesaler, supplier, and pharmacy agreements adhere to legal, regulatory, and industry standards, including anti-kickback, transparency, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with the Legal team to create, refine, and maintain contract templates, SLAs, and audit protocols.
• Work alongside internal analytics, finance, and operations teams to utilize data for pricing analysis, forecasting, and contract performance monitoring.
• Employ financial modeling to support negotiation tactics and inform organizational decisions—analyzing the financial impacts of wholesaler contracts and pricing models to maximize member savings and organizational profitability.
• Produce reports that facilitate GPO economic value assessments and budget planning.
• Collaborate closely with finance, legal, operations, supply chain, analytics, and member engagement teams to ensure alignment and execution of contracting strategies.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity in reporting workflows, pricing files, and GPO partner documentation.
• Lead and motivate high-performing teams by providing strategic direction, aligning talent and resources with organizational goals to drive operational excellence, encourage cross-functional collaboration, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across key business initiatives.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to address business needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• MBA or a relevant degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in PBM, healthcare supply chain, pharmacy procurement, wholesaler relations, or pharmaceutical contracting is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in wholesaler/distributor contract negotiations or pricing strategy is required.
• Over 5 years of leadership experience demonstrating the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and manage cross-functional initiatives is required.
• Strong financial acumen, including cost modeling, forecasting, and interpretation of pricing structures.
