This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Create and implement comprehensive technical training programs that encompass all site roles, including data center technicians, electrical, mechanical, and operations staff.
• Facilitate the transition of mining operations technicians to data center operational proficiency through structured skills gap assessments and focused training initiatives.
• Design and oversee a thorough technician certification program with clearly defined competency levels and evaluation criteria.
• Implement, manage, and enhance a Learning Management System (LMS) to effectively deliver, monitor, and report on all training activities across the portfolio.
• Develop and sustain a training catalog for vendors and OEMs, coordinating specialized technical training for essential systems such as power, cooling, and networking infrastructure.
• Perform training needs assessments across all sites to identify skill gaps and prioritize the development of curricula.
• Establish metrics for training effectiveness and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate ROI and guide the ongoing improvement of programs.
• Collaborate with Standards & Governance, Operational Readiness, and RCA & Continuous Improvement teams to ensure training is aligned with current SOPs and lessons learned.
• Cultivate relationships with industry training organizations, certification bodies, and academic institutions to broaden program offerings.
• Assemble, lead, and nurture a high-performing technical training team.
• Over 10 years of experience in technical training, learning & development, or workforce development, with a minimum of 5 years in data center, critical infrastructure, or mission-critical facility environments.
• Proven success in designing and scaling technical training programs and certification pathways within a multi-site, operational setting.
• In-depth knowledge of data center operations, including electrical systems, mechanical and cooling systems, network infrastructure, and DCIM/CMMS platforms.
• Practical experience in deploying and managing LMS platforms (such as Cornerstone, Docebo, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar).
• Experience in creating training programs for frontline technicians and skilled trades personnel in a regulated or standards-driven environment.
• Familiarity with data center industry certifications and frameworks such as CDCP/CDCS, Uptime Institute, CompTIA, NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards.
• Strong instructional design capabilities with experience in developing both in-person and eLearning content.
• Demonstrated ability to create programs from the ground up and cultivate talent in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Preferred certifications: ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), CDCP/CDCS, or equivalent industry credentials.
• Competitive Salary: Base salary range of $190,000 – $215,000 (commensurate with experience) plus bonus and sign-on equity grant.
