Director Systems Engineering – Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate incoming trends in Data Centers, emerging technologies, and client requirements.

• Convert these insights into a product and solutions strategy that provides a competitive edge.

• Develop the system architecture along with both system and sub-system technical specifications.

• Propel product solutions that facilitate a strategic, customer-focused product portfolio optimized across different regions.

• Identify key priorities in workflow processes and supervise the allocation of resources to ensure strategic optimization and effective implementation.

• Gather and assess emerging trends in Data Center construction and operations.

• Evaluate customer requirements (hyperscalers, colocation providers, and others) and comprehend the technical solutions offered by competitors.

• Grasp the components of product/system differentiation by integrating HVAC equipment and controls.

• Analyze trade-offs effectively.

• Specify the solution architecture and derive system-level specifications.

• Decompose system technical requirements into sub-system technical specifications.

• Promote enterprise-level design synergies through the creation of global platforms and solutions.

• Collaborate effectively with clients, product management, and various global stakeholders to align technical specifications and develop a scalable, cost-effective solution.

• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and successful execution of Data Center initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in systems engineering.

• More than 8 years of experience in the industry working with Data Center clients on cooling system solutions.

• A Master's degree in an Engineering or Industrial field such as Systems Engineering (Preferred).

• Understanding of industrial business models for HVAC, ideally within a Data Center business context (Preferred).

• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across functions and manage various stakeholder relationships to achieve consensus on solutions/initiatives, along with the capability to make confident decisions (Preferred).

• Capacity to tackle complex problems and identify alternative paths to meet objectives in a fast-paced, highly constrained environment (Preferred).
