Director Supplier Network

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design, lead, and enhance HALO’s global supplier portfolio to boost margin, reliability, and speed-to-market.

• Transform HALO’s growth strategy into a well-defined supplier vision.

• Consolidate expenditure with strategic partners and broaden capabilities in areas such as print-on-demand, point-of-sale, premium/recognition, and in-house production.

• Take ownership of end-to-end supplier performance, encompassing economics, service, quality, compliance, and ESG alignment.

• Cultivate a high-performing team that collaborates closely with various departments.

• Develop and sustain a multi-year supplier network strategy.

• Lead consolidation initiatives to increase the share of spending directed to top suppliers.

• Create and oversee a supplier scorecard framework to monitor performance.

• Negotiate commercial terms in collaboration with Finance.

• Collaborate with category leaders to formulate integrated supplier strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in supplier management, sourcing, category management, or related fields.

• More than 5 years of experience in people leadership, including the development of multi-level teams.

• A proven history of negotiating intricate commercial agreements and enhancing margins through supplier strategy and execution.

• Experience in leading portfolio consolidation and/or establishing new categories, capabilities, or internal production functions.

• Knowledge of ESG, supplier diversity, and responsible sourcing practices.

• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data for decision-making, performance measurement, and result communication.

• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Finance, Technology, and Marketing in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
