Director, Strategic Execution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to implement Canopy’s three-year strategic agenda, ensuring a coherent connection between strategy, priorities, and execution.

• Convert enterprise strategy into actionable projects, with specified scopes, milestones, responsible parties, and measurable outcomes.

• Create and manage a centralized overview of all strategic initiatives, ensuring the prioritization, resource alignment, and fulfillment of commitments.

• Foster clarity, focus, and accountability across initiatives to guarantee significant business impact and value realization.

• Lead and mobilize cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across various business units and functions.

• Identify potential risks, eliminate obstacles, and proactively adjust initiatives to sustain momentum.

• Support comprehensive transformation efforts, including redesigning operating models, optimizing costs, enhancing supply chains, and improving organizational effectiveness.

• Develop and institutionalize a top-tier strategic execution framework, incorporating governance, decision-making rights, and execution rhythm.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; an MBA, Master's, or PhD is a valuable asset.

• 6–9 years of experience in management consulting, internal transformation, strategy, or roles focused on operational excellence.

• Proven experience in guiding complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives through to successful execution.

• Strong skills in structuring, problem-solving, and communication.

• Capability to navigate comfortably between executive leadership and operational teams.

• Experience in operations-intensive, regulated, or manufacturing settings.

• Previous involvement in large-scale transformation, integration, or performance enhancement programs.

• Experience in developing or implementing operating models, key performance indicators (KPIs), or governance frameworks.
