This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Act as the main relationship manager for designated accounts, fostering trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders.
• Formulate and implement tailored account strategies that align with the partner’s goals as well as Verdesian’s commercial objectives.
• Develop and sustain annual and multi-year strategic plans for each assigned account, focusing on revenue targets and growth initiatives.
• Facilitate joint business planning meetings and quarterly business reviews for each account.
• Recognize and pursue opportunities for revenue growth, including new product placements and volume expansion.
• Negotiate commercial conditions for both new and existing programs.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create account-facing campaigns and promotional strategies.
• Organize internal resources to ensure obligations to assigned accounts are fulfilled.
• Keep track of competitive activities and provide regular insights to commercial leadership.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and monitor key performance indicators for assigned accounts.
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• Over 8 years of experience in strategic account management, commercial leadership, or sales within agriculture or a related sector.
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts and driving collaborative, competitive growth.
• Experience in developing and executing joint business plans with major agricultural retailers, cooperatives, or distributor partners.
• Demonstrated capability to negotiate structured commercial agreements, including program terms, exclusivity provisions, private label, or co-formulation arrangements.
• Experience in developing and implementing pull-through strategies in collaboration with field teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally as needed (40–50%).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
