This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead OLIPOP’s social media presence, influencing the brand's cultural impact.
• Create and manage a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, and upcoming channels.
• Develop tailored strategies for each channel that align with brand objectives, communication goals, and Marketing performance indicators.
• Generate socially-driven creative concepts and campaigns that resonate culturally and showcase innovation.
• Spot cultural trends, internet behaviors, communities, creators, and opportunities for brand engagement.
• Oversee the creative development of social content from initial brief to final execution.
• Manage social content calendars and channel-specific plans.
• Collaborate with Producers and Creative teams to coordinate production schedules, processes, and workflows.
• Work alongside Brand, Creative, Influencer, PR, Partnerships, and Marketing teams on cohesive campaigns.
• Guide and mentor OLIPOP’s expanding social media team.
• Monitor cultural and social risks, providing direction for crisis and issue management.
• Define social media key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks.
• Evaluate performance and audience insights, offering actionable recommendations.
• Consistently update senior leadership on social performance, insights, opportunities, and suggestions.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director, PR + Comms.
• Over 10 years of experience in social media, brand marketing, communications, or a similar field, with considerable experience in leading social strategy.
• At least 5 years of experience in guiding and developing a team of social media managers, community managers, and content creators.
• Proven track record of creating strategic, creative, and innovative social programs that enhance brand presence and foster meaningful engagement.
• Strong creative instincts with the ability to pinpoint exceptional ideas, articulate a perspective, and convert strategy into captivating creative solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of major social platforms, including their behaviors, best practices, algorithms, formats, policies, and emerging trends.
• In-depth understanding of internet and social culture.
• Strong grasp of audience behavior, with the ability to translate cultural and consumer insights into social strategy and creative possibilities.
• Capacity to balance long-term strategic vision with the agility required in social media.
• Excellent analytical skills, capable of transforming data and insights into strategic and creative recommendations.
• Outstanding cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities, with the capability to influence senior stakeholders and creative collaborators.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) is essential.
• Background in advertising, creative, PR, or social agencies is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience managing external agencies, creators, production partners, or other social resources is preferred.
