Director, Risk Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Accountable for creating, executing, and overseeing the enterprise risk management framework of the company.

• Design and manage comprehensive insurance programs for construction and operations.

• Enhance insurance frameworks to effectively balance costs, risk transfer, and retained risks within the portfolio.

• Direct annual renewals of insurance, underwriting submissions, and marketing initiatives for the program.

• Examine loss trends and introduce risk mitigation tactics to enhance risk performance and lower overall risk costs.

• Structure, negotiate, and oversee corporate surety programs.

• Spearhead the design, implementation, and administration of OCIP programs.

• Assess, design, and launch a captive insurance initiative.

• Establish and oversee a contractor prequalification and risk evaluation program.

• Manage relationships with multiple brokers, carriers, and underwriters.

• Develop and sustain risk reporting systems for executive leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in risk management, insurance, or construction risk.

• More than 7 years of experience in team leadership.

• Direct involvement with:

• Large-scale construction initiatives.

• Design and implementation of OCIP/CCIP programs.

• Management of surety programs.

• Placement of complex insurance programs.

• Profound knowledge of construction and operational insurance programs.

• Experience with captive insurance models and alternative risk financing.

• Strong understanding of surety underwriting and bonding frameworks.

• Acquainted with methodologies for contractor risk assessments.
