Director, Revenue Cycle Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee revenue cycle management performance for a specified group of 4–6 hospitals.

• Create and implement a strategic roadmap aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, and financial outcomes.

• Lead and organize revenue cycle meetings, including sessions focused on denials management.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—comprising hospital and national leadership, as well as third-party vendors—to meet revenue cycle enhancement objectives.

• Foster an inclusive culture by identifying, sharing, and applying best practices throughout process and operations teams.

• Achieve measurable improvements and financial gains through continuous improvement strategies.

• Act as a change agent by effectively communicating and embedding continuous improvement initiatives.

• Remove process inefficiencies and aim to improve customer satisfaction using established tools and methodologies.

• Quickly adapt to changes in scope, priorities, and timelines while maintaining a focus on business performance.

• Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders and hospital leadership.

• Prepare and deliver presentations at the executive level to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Inspire and motivate project stakeholders through positivity, collaboration, and accountability.

• Remain updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes related to healthcare billing and reimbursement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; or a combination of education and 5+ years of experience in change management, project management, and/or people management.

• Preferred strong understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes.

• Experience with healthcare revenue cycle management systems and software is preferred.

• Demonstrated history of achieving measurable business outcomes through change initiatives.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to cultivate effective, collaborative relationships across departments and stakeholders.

• Up to 50% travel is required.
