This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting.
• Convert revenue and delivery forecasts into headcount strategies and staffing plans.
• Monitor team supply and demand to proactively identify overages, shortages, and potential burnout risks.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to provide guidance on hiring priorities and both nearshore and offshore planning.
• Suggest freelance or cross-regional support based on anticipated needs.
• Oversee utilization targets and reporting for a specific region, discipline, or client segment.
• Monitor and report on resource management KPIs weekly and monthly; highlight patterns and anomalies to leadership.
• Maintain headcount rosters, reports on freelance usage, and staffing trackers.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in tools or workflows and recommend enhancements.
• Facilitate staffing strategy and conflict resolution.
• Lead casting discussions with Delivery, Creative, Media, and Experience teams.
• Address priority or conflict escalations across various projects, disciplines, and management levels.
• Ensure optimal coverage for live and upcoming projects while safeguarding team well-being.
• Advocate for fair and equitable staffing across the portfolio and suggest rotation opportunities.
• Manage 1–2 Resource Managers or Senior Managers; offer coaching, performance feedback, and support for development.
• Collaborate with Delivery, Finance, Client Services, and People teams to ensure alignment on headcount and margin optimization.
• Contribute to the advancement of resourcing processes, workflows, and team rituals.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to VPs and Group Directors; engage in key planning and operational forums.
• 6–9 years of experience in resource management, project operations, or production management within a digital agency or consulting setting.
• Demonstrated ability to create staffing plans, evaluate pipeline versus capacity, and advise delivery teams on fulfillment strategies, particularly within creative workflows.
• Capacity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude to excel.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools and resource management platforms (e.g., Resource Guru, Float, Kantata, Mosaic).
• Comfort in managing and mentoring junior team members; prior experience in direct people management is preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; capable of building trust with senior stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to operational transparency, equitable staffing, and data accuracy.
• Experience collaborating with finance, delivery, and recruiting teams in high-velocity environments.
• A curious mindset and eagerness to learn, experiment, and adapt in a rapidly evolving industry, including familiarity with AI-driven tools and innovative methods.
