This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic guidance to project managers and senior project managers.

• Oversee and support extensive, multinational, national, global, and intricate clinical projects or programs.

• Direct project execution across various divisions while adhering to cost, time, and quality standards.

• Supervise, mentor, train, and conduct performance evaluations and salary assessments for project management personnel.

• Spearhead business-process development and enhancement initiatives across functional teams.

• Engage with sponsors to gain direction and feedback regarding project scope and performance.

• Collaborate with Business Development and Bids/Contracts for client presentations and proposal preparation.

• Assist in resource allocation, policy creation, and the implementation of strategic objectives.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently and lead both core and extended project teams.

• Coordinate efforts across internal and external entities, including subcontractors.

• Identify project resource requirements and create contingency plans.

• Design, implement, monitor, and modify project plans as necessary.

• Foster teamwork and mediate conflicts effectively.

• Communicate project-related information to senior management.

• Achieve financial performance goals for assigned clinical projects and programs.

• Ensure project outputs align with Worldwide Clinical Trials and client expectations.

• Enhance efficiency and quality of work on designated projects.

• Act as a primary client contact when appointed.

• Cultivate relationships with client project teams and vendors to ensure satisfaction and operational excellence.

• Ensure team members adhere to professional standards and SOPs in clinical research.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


⛳️ Requirements

• A university/college degree (preferably in life sciences) or certification in a related allied health profession from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the clinical pharmaceutical industry, demonstrating skills and competence in clinical project management tasks.

• Alternatively, over five (5) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment along with eight (8) years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO sectors.

• A proven track record of success in clinical development and the ability to lead and develop professional staff in a project-driven atmosphere.

• Proven experience in developing and managing budgets and resources for business segments.

• Proficient in using project management software.

• Experience in conducting global clinical trials.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight trips.

• A valid passport.

• Capability to drive and possess a valid driver's license.

• Proficiency in the local office language and English, both written and spoken.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the drug development process and client requirements.

• Strong leadership, financial insight, judgment, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, negotiation, marketing, and relationship-building skills.

• Expert knowledge of project management principles and their application.

• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, resource management, regulatory guidelines, medical therapeutic areas, medical terminology, and multicultural service organizations.

• Skills in process improvement, particularly within clinical trials, clinical development, and project management.

• Proficient computer skills.
