This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Direct the Project Management Office (PMO) to guarantee that strategic, departmental, and cross-functional projects are implemented successfully and provide value in alignment with ASIS strategy.
• Monitor project progress and deliver portfolio reports to the Executive Leadership Team.
• Ensure team members receive adequate training in project management methodologies and have access to the necessary tools.
• Supervise the creation of SOPs, business processes, and toolkits that staff can utilize organization-wide for project management, process enhancement, and analysis.
• Assist in resource allocation and facilitate resource sharing across projects within a matrixed framework.
• Spearhead data governance, data quality, and business intelligence initiatives at ASIS.
• Act as a bridge between the ASIS Business Analyst role and stakeholders.
• Ensure the accuracy of AI and BI results, challenge assumptions, and mentor staff in validating outputs from automated tools.
• Enhance business intelligence capabilities to address essential business and strategic inquiries.
• Evaluate the organization's business needs by working closely with departmental and business leaders.
• Engage in the design, review, and implementation of technical solutions alongside the Technology team, vendors, and staff.
• Oversee high-impact projects from ideation to execution.
• Ensure adherence to change management practices to promote staff adoption, motivation, and achievement of desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with project sponsors, leadership, and business owners to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.
• Foster stakeholder consensus, support, and accountability.
• Facilitate business process evaluations, requirements gathering, and scope definition sessions; analyze business strategy, goals, and procedures; conduct gap analyses; and propose solutions to address system and process deficiencies.
• Conduct risk assessments, formulate mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to senior management as required.
• Guide the PMO team in developing project charters, managing schedules in Asana, and supervising project closure and transition to operational teams.
• Serve as a business and product analysis collaborator in the development of ASIS products and services.
• Attend meetings with staff to evaluate business needs and return on investment (ROI) for projects.
• Collaborate with product owners to analyze product pricing and ROI.
• Work with department heads and the Finance team to review products and services, providing clear cost-benefit analysis for current and upcoming offerings.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing PMO and analytics team.
• Offer regular guidance, feedback, and support to help team members enhance their skills, improve their business acumen, and produce high-quality deliverables.
• Create an environment where staff feel supported, challenged, and empowered to solve problems, make recommendations, and contribute significantly to organizational priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Formal project management training or certification, such as PMP, CSM, SSGB, or a similar project management, process improvement, or business intelligence credential.
• Over 7 years of experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects, with a preference for 12+ years.
• Demonstrated experience in leading the application of project management and business intelligence tools and delivering business intelligence solutions.
• A supportive and approachable people leader who excels in coaching staff, developing talent, and nurturing a growth-oriented team culture.
• Proven ability to set clear expectations, provide consistent feedback, offer practical guidance, and uphold staff accountability and performance.
• Experience in business and financial analysis.
• Strong change management capabilities, including the ability to encourage adoption, build support, and assist staff in navigating new tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Experience in a nonprofit setting, preferably within an association.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and data storytelling skills.
• Strong facilitation abilities.
• Capacity to influence without direct authority.
• Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana), business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI), and database querying tools.
