This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Offer senior technical and functional guidance for the Space Sector scheduling organization, supporting various programs and scheduling teams.
• Develop and uphold Sector-wide scheduling standards, best practices, analytical methods, and expectations for schedule quality.
• Counsel senior leadership on aspects such as schedule performance, critical-path factors, forecast credibility, EVM indicators, schedule risk, and recovery strategies.
• Oversee intricate scheduling tasks including baselines, replans, proposals, schedule risk assessments, independent reviews, and recovery planning.
• Enhance the integration of schedule, EVM/cost, technical performance, risk, supply chain, and resource information.
• Promote the effective use of scheduling tools, enterprise analytics, and digital capabilities to enhance schedule quality, visibility, and decision support.
• Lead workforce planning, staffing strategies, resource balancing, succession planning, capability development, and the identification of critical skill gaps.
• Provide functional leadership, mentoring, coaching, and technical development to Schedule Managers, senior schedulers, and emerging leaders.
• Collaborate with Sector Program Management and program leadership to ensure scheduling capabilities align with business priorities and program execution needs.
• Recognize systemic schedule-performance challenges and trends across the Sector portfolio, guiding corrective actions and process enhancements.
• Represent the Space Sector scheduling function in cross-Sector, Segment, and enterprise planning and scheduling initiatives.
• Influence the development of organizational policies, processes, standards, tools, and operating practices affecting Program Planning and Scheduling.
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience; or, alternatively, a minimum of 19 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Over 10 years of experience in Program Planning and Scheduling for large, complex programs or portfolios.
• Advanced understanding of Integrated Master Schedule development, maintenance, execution, critical-path analysis, forecasting, and schedule performance evaluation.
• Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and the integration of schedule, cost, technical performance, risk, and program execution data.
• Proven experience leading complex scheduling tasks such as baselines, replans, proposals, schedule recovery efforts, Schedule Risk Assessments, and integrated program reviews.
• Experience managing a large planning and scheduling organization or providing functional leadership across several programs and scheduling teams.
• Capability to evaluate schedule quality, identify systemic performance challenges, and convert schedule data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Experience in developing workforce strategies, technical competencies, standards, and organizational practices for a scheduling function.
• Ability to collaborate with Program Management, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and other functional organizations.
• Capacity to influence senior leaders and establish consensus around scheduling standards, practices, priorities, and corrective measures.
• Subject matter expert in Program Planning, Scheduling, EVMS, and integrated program controls.
• Experience providing functional oversight for a broad portfolio of programs and scheduling professionals.
• Proven track record in establishing or enhancing scheduling standards, processes, metrics, tools, training, or governance across multiple programs.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and enterprise scheduling/data analytics tools.
• Experience with schedule risk analysis, predictive schedule metrics, integrated cost/schedule analysis, and program recovery planning.
• Proven ability to develop scheduling talent through mentoring, competency development, succession planning, and career growth.
• Ability to identify trends across multiple programs and spearhead cross-program or enterprise-level improvement initiatives.
• Experience presenting to senior leaders and influencing strategic decisions related to the scheduling function.
• Experience in building or maintaining a professional scheduling community through standards, lessons learned, peer reviews, training, and technical collaboration.
