This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the Accounting Product Management team and supervise the activities of the Accounting Product Team.

• Collaborate with engineering, UX, and program management throughout the release train.

• Own the comprehensive strategy and execution for DMS+ Accounting, encompassing GL, AP, AR, period close, Journal Workbench, deal posting, and related payroll workflows.

• Convert dealer accounting challenges into prioritized, data-driven product requirements.

• Establish product specifications and manage delivery coordination with engineering, architecture, UX, and program management.

• Implement and advance the Cox Data framework to ensure accounting data integrity and facilitate downstream reporting.

• Supervise research into dealer accounting needs and integrate insights into roadmap planning.

• Keep track of the competitive DMS environment and pinpoint build-vs-buy/partner opportunities.

• Define and spearhead the AI strategy within the Accounting product discipline.

• Identify and assess AI/ML and agentic capabilities relevant to dealer accounting workflows.

• Set team standards for AI-supported discovery, requirements synthesis, delivery, and quality assurance practices.

• Collaborate with architecture, data, and engineering leadership on reliable, governed AI-enabled accounting features.

• Present the Accounting AI roadmap during executive strategy reviews.

• Provide transparency regarding product activities, risks, issues, budgets, costs, and priorities.

• Create executive-ready business cases, roadmaps, and strategic presentations.

• Assist with go-to-market strategies and messaging for new accounting capabilities.

• Ensure that capabilities align with quality standards within the approved budget and timeline.

• Lead role and operating-model transformations and refine team policies and operational agreements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of product management experience.

• At least 2 years in a leadership role managing product managers or product owners.

• Proven ownership of a product line from start to finish, including strategy, roadmap, delivery, and business outcomes.

• Preferably experience in a B2B SaaS or platform setting.

• Familiarity with core accounting or financial workflows, such as general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, period close, and reconciliation.

• Strong history of translating ambiguous cross-functional strategies into actionable roadmaps.

• Proficient in communicating roadmaps to senior and executive audiences.

• Experience leading or taking part in legacy-to-modern platform migrations, including approaches like strangler-fig, parallel-run/dual-fire, or phased cutover.

• Skilled at achieving consensus across engineering, architecture, UX, and program management within a matrixed organization.

• Preferred: experience in automotive retail, dealership operations, or DMS products.

• Preferred: knowledge of product planning tools for roadmap and delivery tracking.

• Preferred: experience in establishing or evolving a product operating model.

• Preferred: previous experience presenting to C-suite audiences about technical modernization strategy and its business impact.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
