This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.
• Develop and take ownership of the product vision and strategy for Data Collection, Transformation, and Ingestion as a fundamental platform capability for Grafana Cloud.
• Collaborate closely with senior R&D leaders to ensure alignment of product and technical strategies across teams, clarify trade-offs, and maintain a roadmap that balances customer value, platform leverage, operational excellence, and business impact.
• Utilize customer research, product analytics, competitive insights, and business context to pinpoint the most impactful problems to address.
• Determine how AI should shape this domain, including its role in helping customers instrument applications, configure collection, transform telemetry, manage costs, enhance data quality, query more effectively, and troubleshoot ingestion challenges more intelligently.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers and prospects, particularly technical buyers and observability practitioners.
• Assist GTM teams in understanding product differentiation, customer value, roadmap direction, AI relevance, and market positioning.
• Mentor and develop Product Managers, aiding them in honing their product judgment, strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and ability to achieve high-quality outcomes with their cross-functional teams.
• Foster a high-accountability, high-trust environment where PMs and cross-functional teams comprehend what is important, why it matters, and how their contributions drive Grafana Labs’ success.
• Extensive Product Management experience, including leading product strategy across multiple teams, product domains, or intricate technical workflows.
• Proven experience directly managing Product Managers, encompassing coaching, feedback, performance management, recruitment, and career development.
• Strong technical proficiency in infrastructure, cloud platforms, observability, telemetry, data pipelines, high-scale databases, or other developer/infrastructure product domains.
• Robust product instincts regarding AI, with the capability to identify areas where AI can deliver significant customer value in technical products used by developers, operators, SREs, platform teams, or infrastructure teams.
• Deep customer empathy and strategic judgment, with the skill to transform complex customer challenges into clear product strategies, roadmap priorities, and trade-offs.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication abilities, with experience influencing Engineering, Design, Technical Writing, Developer Advocacy, Analytics, Product Marketing, GTM, and executive stakeholders.
• Capacity to create clarity in ambiguity, support teams in making progress without overly prescriptive solutions, and operate effectively in a globally distributed, remote-first environment.
• A BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bonus Points For:
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana Alloy, Grafana Mimir, Grafana Loki, Grafana Tempo, and/or Grafana Pyroscope.
• Experience with ETL, telemetry pipelines, large-scale data processing, or data transformation workflows, including sampling, filtering, enrichment, routing, or cost/performance optimization.
• Experience with high-scale databases, distributed systems, or big data platforms.
• Experience creating AI-enhanced product experiences for technical users, including developers, SREs, platform engineers, or infrastructure teams.
• Experience with agent-facing product design, AI-assisted workflows, or understanding how products should evolve as users increasingly delegate tasks to AI systems.
• Experience working at an open-source or commercial open-source company.
• Experience collaborating with GTM teams on positioning, packaging, pricing, launch strategies, or field enablement for technical products.
• Experience leading product strategy for platform capabilities that serve multiple product lines or customer segments.
