This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop and take ownership of the product vision and strategy for Data Collection, Transformation, and Ingestion as a pivotal platform capability for Grafana Cloud.
• Collaborate closely with senior R&D leaders to synchronize product and technical strategies across teams, establish clear tradeoffs, and ensure the roadmap effectively balances customer value, platform leverage, operational excellence, and business impact.
• Leverage customer research, product analytics, competitive insights, and business context to pinpoint the most impactful problems to address.
• Define the role of AI in this domain, including its potential to assist customers in instrumenting applications, configuring data collection, transforming telemetry, managing costs, enhancing data quality, querying more efficiently, and intelligently troubleshooting ingestion issues.
• Foster strong relationships with customers and prospects, particularly technical buyers and observability practitioners.
• Assist GTM teams in understanding product differentiation, customer value, roadmap direction, AI relevance, and market positioning.
• Mentor and develop Product Managers, enhancing their product judgment, strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and ability to achieve high-quality outcomes with their cross-functional teams.
• Cultivate a high-accountability, high-trust environment where PMs and cross-functional teams comprehend what matters, why it matters, and how their contributions lead to Grafana Labs’ success.
• Extensive Product Management experience, including leading product strategy across multiple teams, product areas, or intricate technical workflows.
• Proven experience in directly managing Product Managers, encompassing coaching, feedback, performance management, hiring, and career development.
• Strong technical fluency in infrastructure, cloud platforms, observability, telemetry, data pipelines, high-scale databases, or other developer/infrastructure product domains.
• Excellent product instincts regarding AI, with the capability to identify where AI can deliver substantial customer value in technical products utilized by developers, operators, SREs, platform teams, or infrastructure teams.
• Strong customer empathy and strategic judgment, with the ability to convert complex customer challenges into clear product strategies, roadmap priorities, and tradeoffs.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with a background in influencing Engineering, Design, Technical Writing, Developer Advocacy, Analytics, Product Marketing, GTM, and executive stakeholders.
• The capability to create clarity in ambiguous situations, aid teams in making progress without over-prescribing solutions, and function effectively in a globally distributed, remote-first environment.
• A BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
