Director, Portfolio Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy, implementation, and achievement of a multifaceted, multi-study clinical research portfolio.

• Deliver comprehensive portfolio leadership throughout the entire clinical trial lifecycle.

• Define the vision for a varied clinical portfolio.

• Act as a reliable senior partner to sponsors, guiding governance, communication, and issue resolution.

• Create and maintain a robust operational framework that ensures visibility, accountability, and successful outcomes.

• Mentor and develop high-performing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory, with a Master’s Degree preferred.

• Over 7 years of experience in clinical research or project management, including prior experience in people leadership and line management.

• At least 2 years of experience in an Associate Director role or equivalent, overseeing multiple complex clinical studies simultaneously.

• Proven track record of independently managing clinical trials.

• More than 10 years of clinical research experience, including Medical Affairs, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and evidence generation support (preferred).

• Experience in Pharma/CRO management is preferred.

• Familiarity with supporting Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs), encompassing feasibility, start-up coordination, oversight, and stakeholder alignment (preferred).
