This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Provide analysis and facilitate communication regarding access and payment policies proposed by both government and commercial payers, including CMS rules, guidance, and legislative initiatives.
• Track and synthesize policy advancements, assisting in translating their implications into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants, aiding engagement efforts with policymakers and various stakeholders, such as CMS and industry groups.
• Act as a subject matter expert on U.S. coding, coverage, and payment, working cross-functionally to evaluate potential financial and business impacts stemming from policy changes.
• Work alongside Government Affairs to monitor and analyze federal and state legislative and regulatory developments that influence access to Dexcom products.
• Facilitate internal education initiatives regarding the evolving managed care policies and reimbursement dynamics, encompassing Medicare (Parts A, B, C, and D), Medicaid, exchange plans, and value-based payment models.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to inform and execute policy and advocacy strategies that align with business priorities.
• Contribute to the formulation of strategic plans that identify and prioritize policy opportunities to further U.S. business objectives.
• Assist in the implementation of strategies to secure and maintain coverage and reimbursement for Dexcom products.
• Support efforts to monitor changes in the payer landscape, helping to mitigate access risks and enhance coverage.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, patient forums, and public events.
• Lead a team of professionals in the development and execution of policy objectives.
• Over 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, government, or advocacy organizations.
• Familiarity with the healthcare reimbursement landscape, including coverage, coding, and payment, as well as experience with reimbursement program design and execution.
• Direct experience in the diabetes device sector is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in analyzing complex policy issues and supporting quantitative or financial impact evaluations.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the capability to clearly distill complex information for varied audiences.
• Proven track record of effective collaboration across teams and contributions to cross-functional initiatives.
