
Director, Payer Contracting – MA, Medicaid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Negotiate and renegotiate value-based care contracts for MA & Medicaid with potential payer partners.
• Actively collaborate with payer partners to establish and enhance contract terms.
• Work alongside Senior Leadership to identify and source market growth and expansion opportunities for multi-year risk arrangements.
• Liaise with key internal stakeholders to ensure the timely and smooth implementation of negotiated terms.
• Review, draft contractual language, and monitor deliverables to guarantee compliance and consistency; gather data and provide updates.
• Cultivate and maintain an in-depth understanding of existing MA & Medicaid contract terms, serving as the internal authority for contract inquiries.
• Build and nurture relationships with payers and other significant stakeholders to address issues, optimize performance, and uncover new collaboration opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 12 years of experience in healthcare, specifically with health plans or provider groups focused on contract negotiations within value-based care.
• Results-driven with the ability to influence outcomes to meet objectives rather than control them.
• Demonstrated success in establishing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships while effectively communicating with senior management.
• Exceptional attention to detail in contractual language and processes.
• Proven expertise in sales, business development, and growth at both local and national levels.
• Enthusiastic about facilitating the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care.
