This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5 billing and collections specialists.
• Establish performance expectations, conduct regular one-on-ones, and manage workload distribution.
• Oversee the complete customer transaction lifecycle from closed renewal or new sale through order setup, invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Manage customer contract transactions, including renewals, new business, upsells, downsells, and terminations.
• Supervise billing, invoicing, collections, and cash application processes in NetSuite.
• Handle customer account reconciliations, general ledger coding, and billing categorization.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging to reduce DSO and enhance cash flow.
• Address billing disputes and payment inquiries alongside Customer Success and external clients.
• Ensure the integrity of billing data across NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Conduct and supervise Salesforce-to-NetSuite account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A on month-end close, accruals, and audit requests.
• Create dashboards and KPI reports that cover collections rates, aging, DSO, and cash trends.
• Execute aging reviews, delinquent account analyses, and high-risk customer evaluations.
• Prepare executive summaries that translate accounts receivable and collections data into actionable insights.
• Define and communicate metrics for team productivity and process effectiveness.
• Document, standardize, automate, and continuously enhance order-to-cash workflows.
• Design and implement daily, weekly, and monthly collections operating cadences.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Product teams on improvements to NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Work with Customer Success, Account Management, Sales Ops, and RevOps on customer onboarding and contract modifications.
• Maintain relationships with external clients to facilitate payment resolution and retention.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• More than 10 years of experience in billing, collections, revenue operations, or the order-to-cash lifecycle.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Practical experience with NetSuite, including invoicing, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Salesforce as a CRM and/or billing system of record.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including the general ledger impact of billing transactions, credits, and adjustments.
• Proven track record of leading and developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to design, document, and optimize operational processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical abilities, with experience in creating executive-facing reports and dashboards.
• Preference for candidates with familiarity in healthcare, homecare, or Medicaid billing.
• Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business model is preferred.
• Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ, ZoneBilling, or similar billing tools is advantageous.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Success, RevOps, or Sales teams is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, including overnight travel.
