This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Lead a team while managing the execution of tasks that align with project, client, or business goals.
• Balance team leadership responsibilities with operational accountability, which includes coaching, performance management, and resource planning.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes within the established scope, timelines, and budget.
• Develop and implement Operational Excellence and Overall Equipment Effectiveness plans, and conduct OpEx and OEE assessments.
• Act as a subject matter expert in DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Gemba, 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, and OEE.
• Mentor project and client teams in the application of OpEx and OEE tools and methodologies.
• Lead cross-functional OpEx and OEE teams within biopharmaceutical facility settings.
• Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor business success.
• Integrate OpEx and OEE enhancements into standardized work processes.
• Manage teams of approximately 10–20 individuals, setting milestone targets and driving business improvements.
• Develop and implement visual management systems.
• Influence clients to embrace bold, business-oriented strategies.
• Support financial performance, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, project planning, cost management, scheduling, and performance oversight.
• Travel domestically to accommodate client project requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree (and/or Masters) in Life Sciences, Engineering, Regulatory, or a related field, or equivalent experience in quality assurance, cGMP facility start-up, regulatory compliance, relevant military, and/or professional services.
• 13–16+ years of relevant direct experience.
• 7+ years of experience in GMP environments.
• Bio-Pharmaceutical experience in Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Packaging technologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing an Operational Excellence or Overall Equipment Effectiveness program.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing OpEx and OEE strategies and assessments.
• Expert knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, Gemba, and 5S methodologies.
• Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and enabling project and client teams in OpEx and OEE tools.
• Experience leading OpEx and OEE initiatives and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to define, track, and monitor KPIs effectively.
• Experience in embedding improvements within standardized work processes.
• Experience in leading teams across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain departments.
• Proficient with tools, systems, and software platforms that support OpEx and OEE analysis and implementation.
• Black Belt certification in Operational Excellence or Six Sigma is highly preferred.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Willingness to travel domestically is required.
• A valid driver’s license is mandatory; candidates with an invalid driver’s license cannot be employed.
