This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10 full-stack developers specializing in Node.js services and Salesforce customizations.
• Enhance developer productivity by utilizing DORA metrics: lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and MTTR.
• Accelerate delivery timelines by deconstructing epics into smaller, independently shippable components and challenging inflated estimates with data insights.
• Design comprehensive solutions that encompass Node.js microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and Salesforce (Apex, Lightning, integrations).
• Take ownership of solution performance metrics: latency, throughput, scalability, and cost—define SLOs and ensure team accountability.
• Implement estimation, sprint, and release methodologies; eliminate obstacles; and enforce accountability while maintaining team morale.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Infrastructure teams to synchronize the roadmap, capacity, and dependencies.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage engineers' performance; foster a culture of ownership and agility.
• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, including more than 5 years in leadership roles managing development teams of 8–20 engineers.
• Extensive, up-to-date hands-on expertise in **Node.js** (Express/Nest, asynchronous patterns, performance optimization, microservices).
• Proficient understanding of the **Salesforce** platform—Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, REST/Platform Events, and Node.js↔Salesforce integration methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience as a **technical architect**, having designed distributed systems, API contracts, data models, and performance-critical solutions in a live production environment.
• Proven history of **schedule compression**—case studies showcasing measurable reductions in cycle times or pulling in release dates without compromising quality.
• Strong skills in estimation and planning within Agile/Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
• Experience in enhancing **solution performance**: profiling, caching, query optimization, horizontal scaling, and observability (APM, logs, traces).
• Experience with cloud-native delivery (preferably AWS) including CI/CD, IaC, and contemporary DevOps practices.
• Exceptional stakeholder communication skills—able to negotiate scope, time, and quality effectively with executives.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Flexible work hours and remote work options.
• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
• A collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages new ideas.
