Director of Security Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the daily functions of the organization’s security operations center (SOC)

• Lead a team of security experts

• Create and execute security policies

• Formulate incident response strategies

• Design security monitoring approaches

• Detect and address security threats to safeguard organizational assets, data, and reputation

• Formulate strategies to manage security risks while balancing immediate and long-term business effects

• Oversee SOC operations, incident response, threat management, security monitoring, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, security policies, compliance, and risk management

• Anticipate trends in AI/AIOps to enhance automation, log ingestion, and threat response

• Cultivate security talent through recruitment and constructive feedback

• Establish clear objectives and eliminate obstacles for the team

• Build collaborative relationships across functions and work with organizational partners

• Collaborate with company-wide leaders to enhance processes and systems that protect patients, employees, and Aledade

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline

• At least 10 years of experience in security operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity

• Demonstrated experience managing a SOC and spearheading incident response initiatives

• Strong knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability management tools

• Capability to function effectively in high-pressure environments and juggle multiple priorities

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities

• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills

• Comprehensive understanding of security frameworks and standards including NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
